Work Programs  

When sentenced to jail, Colorado State Statute requires an inmate to perform work assigned by the Sheriff's Office. For the work they perform, they can receive up to 12 days off of each 30 day sentence.

The Work Progams are divided into two areas, based on where the work is performed:

  • Internal Workers: Inmates assigned to a work detail which takes place inside the secure perimeter of the detention facility:
    • Food Service: 24 assigned inmate workers
    • Floor Crew: 7 assigned inmate workers
    • Laundry: 10 assigned inmate workers

  • External Workers: Inmates assigned to a work detail which takes place outside the detention facility, under supervision of a county employee:
    • Road and Bridge: 9 assigned inmate workers
    • Traffic Department: 2 assigned inmate workers
    • Facilities: 1 assigned inmate worker
    • Alternative Sentencing Unit Kitchen: 6 assigned inmate workers
