The Mesa County Sheriff's Office established a Bike Team in 1995. The team has grown to 10 members, plus a participating Supervisor. The Team facilitates and participates in numerous Bike Rodeos, Safety Programs, and assists with other special programs provided to our community.

Special assignments include increased patrols in high crime areas, connecting with business owners and individuals, in addition to responding to dispatch calls for service while on patrol. The Bike Team brings a unique benefit to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office which encourages better interaction between law enforcement officers and members of the community through removal of the patrol vehicle.
