Mesa County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (MCVOAD)  

Mesa County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (MCVOAD) is the local chapter of the Colorado Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (COVOAD). MCVOAD consists of volunteer organizations active in disaster response in Mesa County. MCVOADs role is to bring together voluntary organizations active in disaster services to foster more effective service to the people of Mesa County who may be affected by disaster through: Communication, Coordination, Cooperation, and Collaboration. To accomplish this, MCVOAD meets several times each year and encourages member organizations to share information and training opportunities. MCVOAD general meetings are also times to conduct business, provide training, networking and planning.

MCVOAD organizations include:

  • The American Red Cross,
  • Salvation Army,
  • Adventist Community Services,
  • United Methodist Committee on Relief,
  • Southern Baptist Disaster Relief,
  • Mesa County Medical Reserve Corps,
  • Western Colorado 211
