To report graffiti anywhere in the County call: 243-WASH from a landline, where you will be prompted to report the graffiti within the city limits of Grand Junction or outside the city limits of Grand Junction/County. We can possibly help you remove the graffiti tagging that is located on your property with no cost to you!

The Mesa County Alternative Sentencing Unit has an Inmate Labor Program with the Sheriff's Office that provides our citizen's with a labor force to help keep our community free of unwanted graffiti on public and private property, in all areas across the County. This program is intended to clean up old graffiti and encourage citizens to remove any recent graffiti as soon as possible, which discourages repeat vandalism.

The staff will take required information over the phone and will make arrangements to have a waiver form signed by the owner of the property or business, and staff often makes personal contact with the requester before the graffiti removal begins. This will allow us to get specific information and verify the owner of the property. To have the forms completed in advance of your call, print the following forms:

Having the signed waiver form gives us authorization to go onto the property at the property owner's request to remove or cover up graffiti with no liabilities held against the County.

Graffiti will be abated using a closely matching paint color or removed using power washer equipment or other tools. This program does not include restoration to the property.
