Mesa County, Colorado— Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking the media and the public to view the attached video. The attached video is of a suspect who used a stolen credit/debit card to defraud their victim financially.
On June 2, 2010 the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office took an identity theft / forgery report. The victim reported losing his debit card and an unknown person found the card and used it at various locations in Fruita.
Anyone with information about this suspect should call CrimeStoppers at (970) 241-STOP (7867), 1-800-221-STOP (7867), or text “TIP729” plus your tip to CRIMES (274637).
Investigators recommend people should keep their debit card in a safe and secure location at all times. People should not allow their card out of their site or leave their cards in the vehicles. People should check their bank account daily (online) for any discrepancies in account charges. If you suspect your debit card has been stolen or compromised, you should contact your bank immediately.

On July 10, 2009, at about 3:30 a.m. the Cornerstore gas station located at 3202 E Road, Clifton, had an attempted robbery. The following surveillance photos show the suspect. Investigators are asking the public for their help in identifying the suspect.

Two Hispanic male suspects need identified, after an early morning assault took place at the Clifton bar, Cactus Canyon. The assault occured on May 1, 2009, in the outside entrance and smoking area of the bar. Two suspects are shown in these surveillance video still shots on the right side of the photos.

Kyler Rentie: WANTED
In late May 2009, investigators asked the public to help identify two suspects who were shown on various surveillance video from multiple stores across Mesa County, as using a stolen debit/credit card. The suspects racked up over $1,500.00 in fraudulent charges on the stolen debit/credit card. Through the help of the media in releasing surveillance video (see link below) 22 year-old Savannah Wilcox was identified and 19 year-old Kyler Rentie. Wilcox was arrested on July 2, 2009. Rentie remains at-large and is wanted for his involvement in the stolen debit/credit card.
