Inmate Funds
NOTE:  On June 28, 2016 we will no longer accept money orders for inmate commissary deposits.

More information regarding deposits for inmates funds will be made available as we transition to a new jail commissary vendor.

The following information outlines our policy for leaving money for inmates in the Mesa County Detention Facility.

We will accept cash or certified funds at the front counter of the Mesa County Sheriff's Office during hours of operation. Cash is always preferred as it is credited immediately to the inmate's account. Certified funds must first be processed before crediting the amount to the inmate's account. Certified funds must be made payable to the Mesa County Detention Facility. We do not accept coins or personal checks. There is no limit to the amount of money you can leave, but inmates are only allowed to spend $100 a week. Commissary is ordered on Wednesdays and delivered on Saturdays for all inmates.

We will not accept any money for inmates who are being held on federal or immigration charges only.

You can mail certified funds, made payable to: Mesa County Detention Facility. Also, the memo line must include the inmate's name. Please do not send cash.
